1. Controller

2. Visiting the website
When you visit this website, the hosting provider’s server automatically processes data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the previously visited page, and your browser and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The server log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking services. Fonts, images and all other content are loaded directly from this server. Except on the Articles page (see section 8), no data is passed to third parties such as Google when you visit.
4. Language setting
On your first visit, the website picks the language based on your device’s language setting. This setting is only read inside your browser. If you choose a language yourself, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so that the website opens in that language next time. If you close the language notice, this is noted in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) until you close the tab. This information never leaves your device. Storing it is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
5. Contacting the landlord
If you get in touch by email, phone or WhatsApp, the details you provide (for example your name, contact details and message) are processed to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a rental contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries.
The enquiry form on this website does not send any data to the server. It only creates a message text that you send yourself via WhatsApp or your email app. If you choose “Send on WhatsApp”, the text is handed to WhatsApp via a wa.me link (see section 6).
6. WhatsApp
WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland). If you contact the landlord on WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes your data under its own privacy policy, and data may also be transferred to the USA. Using WhatsApp is voluntary. You can call or send an email instead.
7. Links to Google Maps
The map links lead to Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland). Your browser only connects to Google once you click one of these links. No data is sent to Google before that.
8. Articles (Soro)
The Articles page shows posts provided through the Soro service (trysoro.com). Only when you open that page does your browser load a script and the articles from Soro’s servers (app.trysoro.com); images in the articles are loaded from the Supabase storage service. In the process, your IP address and technical details of your browser are sent to these providers, and a transfer to the USA is possible. No cookies are set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the articles). Soro is not loaded on any other page of this website.
9. How long data is kept
Personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for its purpose, unless statutory retention periods apply.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI).
Right to object: you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).
